Carpe Lucem - Seize the Light VR is a virtual reality puzzle game where the player bends, blends, reflects, and redirects brands of light in order to progress. Each puzzle consists of a set of light emitters, a variety of artifacts for the player to interact with (directly, via applying light, or both) and a set of color-coded receptors, all of which must generally be activated in order to solve the puzzle. Everything is suspended in midair in front of and around the player, delineating a zone where she can move around, inspect the problem, think about solutions, and try things out. Each group of puzzles is surrounded by a unique environment, brightly colored yet soothing. The music and sound effects are soothing as well, combining with the visuals to produce an almost meditative atmosphere. The main game is fairly short - I only spent a few hours playing through it. However, it also supports Steam Workshop and features a builtin puzzle editor, so there's plenty more potential enjoyment to be had untangling new problems or devising your own puzzles with which to bedevil your friends.Carpe Lucem is a tantalizing taste of the future of VR puzzle gaming.. Its beautiful and quite fun. Try it out. It's a VR game that you can play standing still. You basically drag and drop objects to direct the flow of different coloured energy beams. You have to alter the colour of the beams to solve the puzzles. The default mode in Seize the Light does not rush you. The game forces you to think outside the box almost from the beginning. I like it a lot.. Echoing what others have said about Oculus. Touch controllers don't work and it doesn't appear that the developers are working on it. I don't recommend this for OCULUS ONLY. Having played on the Vive, I found it to be enjoyable.
